In the wake of the tragic slayings at Virginia Tech, you may be called on to interpret the meaning of such events. Below are four sermons from Preaching Today Audio that may help your thinking. The last two sermons are by pastors from Littleton, Colorado, who spoke in their churches following the Columbine High School shootings.
God's Noninterventions
By George Wood
Jesus Wept
By Bryan Chapell
Tragedy and the Providence of God

I will only say this to the grieving families and the school where the tragedy took place. Trust in the Lord with all your heart mind and SOUL. Let the comfort of God fill your souls. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. I pray that the hand of God will touch those that are grieving in hurt, pain and suffering. Just remember, He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and the chastisment of our PEACE is yet UPON HIS shoulders.
May God send you Peace in
this time of breavement.

For those who wish to be united in prayer for the Virginia Tech community, the victims and their families, the Circle Of Prayer site has been updated to make it more interactive between users.
www.circleofprayer.org
Read below what a circle leader wrote about the site:
Dedicated to: All Circle of Prayer Leaders
For the webmasters in charge.
Delightful Heavenly Dad!
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust, be confident also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” [Psalms 37:4-5]
I have been longing for a long time now for some sort of Internet fellowship of like minded Christian believers -- where we can not only pray for one another, but also worship, fellowship and communion with each other. NOW THE LORD HAS BROUGHT IT TO PASS! With the new design of the Circle of Prayer, with the options of directly communicating with the prayer circle leader, message box, network, this is now possible. PRAISE THE ALL WISE, ALL POWERFUL, ALL GRACIOUS GOD.
I pray for blessings, protection, gracious gifts and abundant peace be showered on the American Bible Society and especially the overseers of the Circle of Prayer; their families, their finances, their work, their health, relationships, their spirit, body and soul – in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over!
Glory to God in the highest! My soul sings for joy!
In Jesus’ joyful name, AMEN.

Thanks for providing these resources, Brian. They have been a great help to many, I'm sure.
