Here's what people are watching, reading, listening to, and learning about...

Top Five Movies (according to box office returns)
1. Baby Mama (Rated PG-13)
2. Harold & Kumar Escape from Guatanamo Bay (Rated R)
3. Forgidden Kingdom (Rated PG-13)
4. Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Rated R)
5. Nim's Island(Rated PG)

Notables: Time magazine recently ran an article about how the Harold and Kumar movie subversively speaks out against the Bush administration's military doctrine concerning imprisonment and torture.

Top Five Books (according to Amazon.com)
1. The Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch and Jeffrey Zaslow
2. A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, by Eckhart Tolle
3. The Whole Truth, by David Baldacci
4. Just Who Will You Be? by Maria Shriver
5. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Notables: This marks the first week in a long time that Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth has not been the #1 bestseller. It was finally wrestled to the ground by The Last Lecture, a book by 47-year-old professor Randy Pausch. Pausch, who is dying of cancer, can be seen offering his last lecture in this video from You Tube.

Top Five Albums (according to Billboard 200)
1. E=MC2, by Mariah Carey
2. Spirit, by Leona Lewis
3. Flight of the Conchords, by Flight of the Conchords
4. Bittersweet World, by Ashlee Simpson
5. When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That S*** Gold, by Atmosphere

Notables: I'm not entirely sure what's notable here. I do know that the Flight of the Conchords are a comedy group from New Zealand. They are awfully popular. As for the title listed at #5, I've got nothing! That's one of the oddest ones I've seen in a while.

Top Five Digital Downloads (according to Billboard Digital Singles)
1. "Bleeding Love," by Leona Lewis
2. "4 Minutes," by Madonna (featuring Justin Timberlake)
3. "Lollipop," by Lil Wayne (featuring Static Major)
4. "No Air," by Jordin Sparks (with Chris Brown)
5. "Sexy Can I," by Ray J & Yung Berg

Notables: Leona Lewis got her start by winning a British television talent contest. You should read her Wikipedia entry. I'd say she's a bit of a success story, wouldn't you?

Top Five Web Searches (according to Google Trends)
1. brandy britton
2. deborah jeane palfrey
3. dc madam
4. michelle moyer
5. paulette dean daly
*Exercise caution when searching; some topics may be inappropriate.

Notables: Every single search item has to do with a sex scandal that's in the headlines or something related to a relationship gone bad.
