Every week, Preaching Today offers a batch of new sermon illustrations. It's a nice little mix of stories, quotes, statistics, humor, and scenes from movies or television shows. From time to time, the editors of Preaching Today want to take a moment to talk about how they might use a particular illustration in their own preaching.
This week they discuss an illustration that was posted on August 4, 2008: "Man's Vocational Path Altered by Accountability." It's a story taken from Parker Palmer's wonderful little book, Let Your Life Speak. The illustration isn't free to nonmembers, but the editors discuss the story in such a way that you won't have a problem following along.
